Simply dig your desired hole, cut the rim of the zip pot™ in four locations at the top ring into the grooves on each side of the two tear strips. Next, grab the lip underneath the rim with fingers pointing upward and pull the strip down and away from the pot. Repeat on the other side and voilà; you can remove (and support) your completely undisturbed plant and relocate it by its tidy, cohesive root base and soil mass. Finally, the empty zip pot goes right in the recycle bin. No damage to the roots. No trauma to the leaves.
